W Games announced on the 9th that it recorded 160 billion won in sales and 47.9 billion won in operating profit in the third quarter.

The social casino games Double Down Casino and W Casino, which are serviced by W Games, recorded a total of 153.9 billion won in sales in the third quarter. This is an increase of 7% compared to the previous quarter and 6% compared to the same period last year. The proportion of overseas sales was 100%, which had the effect of increasing sales due to the recent rise in the won’s exchange rate against the dollar. Non-operating profits related to foreign currency, including dollar assets, were also reflected by more than 20 billion won.

W Games will start developing new businesses and new products based on strong performance. W Games recently completed a close beta test (CBT) of its new product “Spinning in Space,” P2E skill games “Double Down Cash Bingo” and “Double Down Cash Solitaire.” The P2E skill game, which is officially serviced in Western countries, is a kind of betting game in which the winner of the game takes the money he or she bets.

Along with P2E skill games, W Games has completed the certification process for 10 types of self-developed slot contents in the i-Gaming section, which is under way as a new business. Unlike existing social casinos where cash withdrawals are not possible, i-gaming is an online casino where cash can be betted and withdrawn. W Games plans to complete certification of about 20 types of slot contents by the end of this year.

W Games is developing “WW Casino 2.0,” which combines casual game elements with the existing W Casino, with the goal of launching it in the first half of next year.

An official from W Games said, “We are planning to operate efficiently in the stable social casino business field,” adding, “We are doing our best to produce tangible results in investments such as new games, new businesses, and mergers and acquisitions.”
