Two blockchain technology companies are moving their headquarters to Daegu.
Daegu City announced on the 30th that two companies, Flatta Exchange, a blockchain company, and Social Infrastructure Tech, will move their headquarters to Suseong Alpha City in Daegu.
FlatTAX Change, located in Seocho-gu, Seoul, is a blockchain and virtual asset exchange company that plans to support the NFT platform for local small business owners and foster talent through cooperation with local universities.
In addition, Jeju-si-based social infrastructure is a supplier of related services such as blockchain source technology, application technology, and mainnet, and will participate in Daegu-led blockchain-related projects, supply of local blockchain technology, and business models through the relocation of its headquarters.
Daegu City expects to contribute to technology development, training local talent, and job creation to revitalize the local blockchain industry, and will support administrative support for cooperation with these companies, including commercialization support to discover blockchain technologies and business models.
The attraction of companies is the result of Daegu City’s selection of ABB Industry (AI, Blockchain, Big Data) as a future industry promotion task in Daegu, establishing an integrated organization to promote industrial structure advancement centered on future high-tech technologies, and efforts to attract related companies.
In order to build the largest digital innovation hub in the non-metropolitan area that competes with Pangyo Valley, Daegu City plans to conduct a preliminary feasibility study with the goal of “Software Stadium Building”, “AI Autonomous Manufacturing Cluster Building”, and “National Data Hub Center” based on ABB, and is also considering expanding the second stage of Suseong Alpha City.
