Block Odyssey, a domestic blockchain technology startup, announced on the 9th that it will provide irreplaceable token (NFT) services to Korea Investment & Securities, a subsidiary of Korea Financial Group.

Since its launch in 2018, Block Odyssey has been active as a blockchain solution provider for companies in various areas using blockchain technology and information such as distribution history management and authentication, NFT issuance and management, movable finance, and virtual asset transaction simulation.

Korea Investment & Securities has been providing NFT services developed by Block Odyssey and is conducting a donation project called “Hangrutu Tree NFT Event” that supports tree planting projects in forest fires on the east coast through the “Korea Investment” application from the 5th to the 11th of this month.

All customers participating in the event will be presented with a carbon-neutral practice NFT issued by Korea Investment & Securities. The donation will be used to restore forest ecosystems in Samcheok and Uljin, Gyeongsangbuk-do, which were destroyed by large forest fires in March. In the future, Korea Investment & Securities plans to create a “forest of Korean investment customers” in the forest fire-damaged area by matching the same amount as customer donations on a one-on-one basis.
