The Asian Startup Expo “FLY ASIA 2022,” which was organized as the largest start-up event ever in Busan to become a leading start-up city in Asia, will open on the 22nd.

The event will be hosted by the Busan Metropolitan Government and organized by the Busan Techno Park and the Busan Entrepreneurship Agency’s Establishment Promotion Team for three days until November 24. It operates more than 40 programs for Asian startups and investment companies, and 10,000 people are expected to participate in 42 countries around the world.

The opening ceremony at 4 p.m. on the 22nd, the first day of Fly Asia 2022, will announce the opening of the Expo with guests from home and abroad, including Busan Mayor Park Hyung-joon, Lim Jung-wook, head of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and key figures from major Asian start-ups.



At 5 p.m. on the same day, futurist Richard Yonck, author of the bestseller Future Mind: The Future of Artificial Intelligence, will give a lecture on the “Future of the Asian Startup Ecosystem.” Lee Ling Lim, head of 500 Global Asia, will then give a lecture on the theme of “Waves of Innovation Made by Asian Startups.”

At the same time, officials from nine major Asian start-ups, including Mayor Park Hyung-joon, will move to Nurimaru APEC House for a round table.

At the meeting, the company plans to create a practical startup network along with policy sharing by introducing start-up policies and best practices for each city and discussing cooperation measures for the development of the Asian start-up ecosystem.
